Dr Katelyn Guy


 

 

Katelyn Guy is a neonatal paediatrician who has been working exclusively with neonates since 2005.

Katelyn completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Adelaide, followed by an internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She commenced her paediatric training at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide in 2001, leaving after the birth of her first son. Katelyn and her family moved to Melbourne in 2005 and she completed her training in neonatology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Newborn Emergency Transport Service and Mercy Hospital for Women. Katelyn also studied for a Master of Epidemiology while on maternity leave with her second son and has used her statistics training to assist with many research projects and publications.

Prior to joining Melbourne Neonatal Network, Katelyn has most recently been working as a Neonatologist at Mercy Hospital for Women. Her interests include long-term follow up of the growth and development of premature infants and supporting breastfeeding.

Outside of work Katelyn enjoys spending time with her young children, but also escaping from them for the occasional gourmet meal with her husband.
