Emma King

Emma has been working as a dermatology nurse practitioner at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne since 1991 and paediatric dermatology nurse practitioner since 1995.

She pioneered the dermatology nursing role at the RCH and nurse practitioner model of care. She is acknowledged for her experience and expertise in paediatric eczema and dermatology, and in particular a strong expertise in children’s eczema management, molluscum contagiosum and nappy eczema.

Emma’s achievements and leadership in the area of nurse-led paediatric dermatology care has been widely recognised, including receiving the Royal Children’s Hospital Mary Patten Award, a Victorian Public Health Care award for workforce design and a Deakin University National Nursing Leadership award. Emma has developed numerous educational tools for children with eczema and provides regular education to Maternal Child Health Nurses, General Practitioners and Medical and Nursing staff in the tertiary setting. Emma is a mother of 4 children.

Emma is available for eczema, nappy eczema and molluscum contagiosum consults and will provide:

  • Thorough assessment.
  • Empowerment of parents with the skills to successfully manage their child’s skin condition at home.
  • Home treatment plan.
  • Demonstration of how to apply eczema creams, emollients, wet dressings and treatments correctly.
  • Emotional support 
   
 

Jane Williamson

Jane is a registered nurse who has cared for babies and their families since 1993.

Jane completed her General Nurse training at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne in 1989. After her graduate year she spent 14 months at The Royal Children's hospital before embarking on an overseas adventure. Jane lived and worked in England for 5 years.  During that time she fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a 'baby nurse' and  completed her certificate of Newborn Intensive Care at St Georges Hospital, London.

On returning to Melbourne in 1996 Jane joined the Neonatal Unit team at the Royal Children's hospital. She remained there as a senior nurse and Care Manager for 14 years until becoming practice nurse for Dr John Mills.

Jane has a special interest in breastfeeding and gained qualification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2006.  Jane continues to work part time in Special Care Nursery and as a private Lactation Consultant.

Jane is married and has two beautiful sons at high school. When she is not being the family taxi service, Jane enjoys jogging, photography and entertaining with friends. 

   

Kylie McCleery

Kylie is our Practice Manager with many years experience working in the healthcare industry in both private practice and hospital settings. 

Kylie assists in the day to day running of the business and supports the paediatricians, nurses and reception staff, ensuring a high level of customer service is being delivered to all our patients.  

In her leisure time, Kylie enjoys walking her dog, cooking, gardening and catching up with family and friends.  

Olivia Bosidis

Olivia is our Senior Receptionist who will guide you through your appointment process, answer your questions and provide a welcoming face when you walk in the door.  Olivia is your first point of contact when you call our office and will be the friendly, reassuring voice over the phone.  Olivia has had many years of experience as a Secretary in the health sector.  

The highlight of Olivia's day is meeting and interacting with babies and their parents.  In her leisure time, she enjoys supporting the 'Pies' and attending pilates classes.     

  

 

Hanan Oumer

Hanan is one of our friendly receptionists with years of experience in customer relations.   Hanan is a devoted university student, pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Health Science and demonstrates profound enthusiasm for the health care industry. 

Hanan finds great satisfaction in her role in administration, particularly cherishing the angelic smiles and infant babbles she encounters daily. 

In her leisure time, Hanan enjoys scenic walks, cooking and binge-watching nostalgic TV shows.
